latest painting of today in oil (10x20 inches) from a photo taken a few summers ago while watching the RCMP and the Musical Ride. I was mesmorized by the hooves of the horses and the fact that they were in time to the music.
The shapes of the legs, mostly black except for a few white socks, against the bright green grass inspired me to want to paint this some day.
Also getting inspired and having a feeling that it might make me a better painter as I begin a new adventure at St Lawrence College teaching Experimetnal/Mixed Media and Painting and Colour Theory.

After the show on Dec 9th weeknd time to reflect and think about how I would do a show in my studio next time. Great turnout despite the nasty road conditions and snow.thank you to everyone!

Arti-Fest, Bancroft, Ontario May 22, 2011.

Arti-Fest in Bancroft, Ontario all along Flint Street in front of the Art Gallery of Bancroft (AGB). Many vendors (this is mine) and good food.  Hope it becomes an anual event.
